a2z Inc. to Power Online Trade Show for Maryland Technology Showcase
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 02/05/2002

a2z Inc. has been chosen by E.J. Krause to handle the online trade show for the 2002 Maryland Technology Showcase. Specifically, E.J. Krause will use a2z's web based software, a2zShow™ to facilitate the call for presentations, to manage speaker information, to sell booth space online, and to create a website for the event.

Started by the State of Maryland to highlight local technology companies, the Maryland Technology Showcase claims to attract the largest, highest-qualified business-to-business and business-to-government audience in the Mid-Atlantic area. The 2002 Maryland Technology Showcase will be held December 4-5 at the Baltimore Convention Center. As early as February, information will be available on the website for potential exhibitors and speakers.

Libby Jones, Group Show Director for E.J. Krause, and manager of the Maryland Technology Showcase, is looking forward to simplifying her job with a2zShow. Jones will use a2zShow’s color-coded online floor plan to sell booth space for this year's trade show. "It is easier than faxing paper back and forth," said Jones. The colors on the floor plan change as booths are reserved and sold, which Jones believes will help the sales process. "It is easier to sell when it's visual for someone," she said. In addition, Potential speakers will be able to submit papers online, allowing Jones to have them reviewed and approved without the usual copying and mailing that accompanies such a task. These simple improvements to the trade show management process should save time and resources for Jones.

"The administrative tools in the back-end of a2zShow are perhaps the most beneficial to show organizers," explained the president of a2z, Rajiv Jain. "They save significant amounts of time and money by automating and streamlining various processes. We are happy to be able to provide these services to the Maryland Technology Showcase and look forward to creating an improved online presence for them."
